"Career/Life Change"

Hello, I am a U.S. citizen and currently working for Texas A&M University under contract with the National Science Foundation. Unfortunately, the contract runs out in September of 2003, after which time, I will most likely be unemployed. I have visited a small town in British Columbia (twice in the past six months) after nearly a year of researching it and have decided that I would like to move there permanently, possibly to start my own business. The business would be based on the town's flourishing tourism. However, I'm not sure how to go about getting my ideas into motion. After finding this site (which has been very helpful, by the way) and reading through many of the topics, it sounds like it is going to be a much more difficult venture than I had initially expected. However, I am determined to move to this town, one way or another. Any advice on getting me going in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you, Robert |
