"Job offer"
Hello Harry

How do I go about getting a job offer in Canada? I have 10+ years of experience in Computer Programming but no degree and I've been told I don't have much of a chance for PR without a job offer. I haven't a clue as to where to start.

I'd really appreciate your help in this.

Terry

1. "RE: Job offer"
Terry,

I receive many resumes every day from residents outside Canada and each one is considered. The truth of the matter is that we have been experiencing a brain drain in Canada for the last decade and there is a serious lack of experienced I.T individuals up here. We are always looking for strong talent regardless from which country it comes from. My advice is to make effective use of international job boards (i.e: Monsterboard)and apply to all the positions that interest you. Another effective way, and the one I recommend for you, is to get your resume into the hands of head hunting firms in Canada. Some of these firms are specialized with tdealing with international applicants and can make the whole process much easier. Lastly, I recommend that you approach some immigration consultants, or law firms, that also could make things much easier for you and the hiring company. For this kind of service I highly recommend www.canadavisa.com for a wealth of information that could help you.

I appreciate your inquiry and I hope this helps.

Harry
