"Career in Quality Assurance/Quality Control - ISO 9000 "
Harry,

What are job propects in Canada in field of QA / QC ? Is there any professional body in this field and does one need to be part of the professional body to get job as QA/QC professional ?

Is there a demand for engineer with diploma in Quality control in the canadian job market?

Is it required to do any special courses in this field ?

Please recommend what should i do to get job as QA/QC in engineering industry or Service industry.

Any experience with ISO Certifications is an asset. More and more companies are forced to be ISo Certified either because their suppliers are or their customers are. This a definetely a big plus for you.

Smehtaji,

I have to tell you that I have been having great difficulties finding people in Quality Assurance and Quality Control. Preferably I look for those that have a background in Projects and have worked a great deal with MS Project or Project Workbench. There are QA positions in I.T, Aerospace,Retail, Commercial,Biotechnology, Engineering, etc...across the country. There are different places to get certification, but to my knowledge there is no professional body that you NEED to be part of to be a QA Professional. As long as you are certified, things should be ok. If you want more info on ISO Certification, a site that I recommend is www.entela.com.

For QA positions, check out Monster.ca, Jobbus.com and CanadianCareers.com...this should give you an indication of what is out there.

My response is that there is opportunity. How easy it will be depends on you. Remember, you have to convince the employer that you are the right person for the job. Nothing is easy without perseverance and determination.
