"advise needed"

   Hello,

I am lab analyst in a petroleum refinery and am planning to apply as an independent immigrant.
Are there job opportunities in Canada in my line of occupation?
What city/ies (or province)should I consider as my destination?

And also, is it possible for me to get an informal job offer even outside of Canada. If so, where do I start?

Thanks,

menny

   Hi,
I suggest that you visit Monster.com, the best location in Canada for someone with your work experience would be Alberta, Canada that is where the main refinery is. Other major Chemical labs in Toronto are Novartis, and Toronto Research.

In the US the best places to find employment would be San Diego, California, and New Jersey. New Jersey has the highest salary average in the nation. If you would still like to work in a refinery I suggest that you look for a job in Texas.

Good Luck, Miggy

ps. Do you have any analytical lab experience?
