"Informal Job Offer"

   Dear Harry:

Could you please guide me how one can secure an informal job offer from a Canadian Employer. This since as per the new immigration regulations, applicant would be given 5 bonus point if they have any such offer. Please guide me as to how one can get an informal job offer.

Your expert advise shall be highly appreciated.

Thanks and regards

What does the CIC exactly mean with an informal joboffer?
1. A joboffer that is valid when you send in the forms?
2. A joboffer that is valid upon arrival?
3. Both.

Last seems to me impossible because the whole procedure takes so long that an employer will be no longer interested.

Please let me know what is correct to get the 5 points.

Kind regards,

Ubbo

Remember to start your search from your home country and get as many leads as possible. Best places to start your job search are: workopolis.com and monster.ca. I think that your ultimate goal would be get a job as soon as you land in Canada. I recommend you to write a killer presentation letter including your expected time of arrival to Canada in order to have some leads to follow-up at your time of arrival in Canada.

Other option is try to book a few interviews in a specific period of time. In that way would make sense to invest on a trip to Canada just for interview purposes and hope for the best.

Good luck and keep a positive attitude,

Oswaldo

   Hello

I am also interested in this topic of securing an informal offer from an employer. None of the responses so far seem to address this issue effectively..

Thanks
