Having just spent a great few weeks in vancouver, im considering whether to up roots and move there. As im only 21 I have no ties here in England so the only problem with moving should really be finding a job. Im a young IT Manager in a moderatly sized company where Ive been working for the few years after college. Ive been promoted several times and im considered good at what I do, which includes excellant communications skills which I use to explain techinical situations to less techinical employees in a way they can understand. Im also extremly well paid for my age and my job comes with great benefits (Company Car, Cell Phone and Laptop for my personal as well as business use). At the same time I realise I cant hope for equal status in Canada to what I have in England, but im considered highly skilled and rather intelligent so I`d hope I could get a good job if I chose to move.I would guess the best way to do things is to first find a job then apply for a VISA? Or maybe move over first, then look for a job. Or even set up some job interviews and come over to see companies personally? Or maybe apply for a temp VISA for say a year and see how that goes.
Im really just after some guidance about what to do next. I know people in vancouver so I have a firm support base there already and I think I should fit in well.
Thanks in advance for any help/guidance.
