Dear Mr. Harry:My wife and I are from Venezuela and we are applicants for PR. If all goes well we expect to land in Canada sometime in September, 2001 (I know nothing is guaranteed, but I have to think positive!!). I have 2 questions concerning our career possibilities:
1)I am a developer/technical consultant in the area of PeopleSoft Finacial Services suite. I also have a strong Visual basic, Oracle and SQL Server background. I read in earlier posts, that the 2 most popular ERP packages in Canada are SAP and JD Edwards. What about PeopleSoft?, is there a good demand of PeopleSoft professionals in Canada? or would I do better if I search for VB/Oracle/SQL Server jobs not necassarily related to PeopleSoft?.
2)My wife is a Tax consultant in Venezuela, with a graduate degree in International Taxation from Harvard University. She is specialized in Tax treaties and Transfer Pricing. She currently works for the Tax Administration Service in Venezuela. Is there a good chance for her to find work in this area? Does she have to "certify" herself in order to work in that field in Canada?
Thank you very much for you time,
Oscar Pérez
