smehtaji (10 posts) 12-Jan-01, 07:56 PM (GMT) "College Education " Dear Harry, I have applied for immigration and my son may have entered 12th grade by time i expect to emigrate to Canada. If he completes 12th grade in a Canadian school and wants to go to college after that, would he get bank loans for college education ? I mean can he apply for a loan on his own and pay back after he starts earning . Do i need to stand guarantee for the loan or show some credit history? That is something you need to take up with the banks, but I will say that the Government issues loans, and possible bursaries after secondary school studies have been completed.
