Paul (2 posts) 09-Jan-01, 09:34 PM (GMT) "Secondary teaching jobs" Harry: I'm a secondary teacher (grades 7-12) with ten years teaching in an urban district in New York (teaching literature, writing, Social Studies.) Is there a chance of employment for me in the Toronto School District teaching high school (or middle school if they're called that there grades 6-7-8)? I understand there's a lot of labor strife concerning Toronto teachers these days. Do you know what obtaining my teaching certification in Canada would entail or where I could get this information? I understand it is very demanding work and you should be commended. I would suggest that you consult directly with the Toronto District School Board at http://www.tdsb.on.ca/.
