"Visit to Canada before or after 28th June ?"
 
   Hi all,
I'm a landed immigrant working here in Gulf. I have my bank account, Driving licence and others ties ready with Canada.I want to go for a short visit to Canada and then come back. But I'm away from Canada for more than 183 days without informing them.
Whats the best and safe time to go either before 28th of June,2002 or after it. As you know from 28th June new immigration and refuge protection act will be introduced.
Any idea when canadian govt will start issuing Permenant resident's card?

   Persons who are already Canadian permanent residents may apply for the new Permanent Resident card beginning Oct. 15, 2002.
