"cultural differences"

Although I was born in Canada, I grew up primarily in the U.S. I am interested in getting better acquainted with my Canadian heritage, and would like to spend at least a summer working Canada.

Because I hear a great deal of anti-americanism in the news and on the street whenever I am in Canada, I am wondering if anyone has experienced difficulty in finding work due to being "too american", and if so, how did you get around it?

As a graduate student in communications, I have been working as a temporary employee doing administrative work. I am sought after, and my employment agency tends to think of me first when in search of people who can step in and do high quality work on short notice. As a person with an "American" personality, what are my chances of getting summer work through an employment agency in Canada?
