"Adoption/Immigration"
 
   My question is in regards to a grandmother who wishes to immigrate from Guatemala to be a nanny for a grandson who was adopted by two parents who are Canadian citizens. How would she go about applying for permanent resident status and how eligible is she for this.

A Grandmother may be sponsored directly under the Family Class Category.

(Note that there also exists a category for sponsoring "Live in Caregivers". However in this particular case, the Family Class category may be a more viable category to verify first. In most cases where applicable, the Family Class Category tends to be more straightforward, and faster.)
