"delays in Cairo"

Any body aeare of delays in cairo after my successful interview
I was expecting my medical asssesment forms in amatter of weeks only to receive a letter stating that I should not expect any corrospondances before 6 months .Is this usual ? what could be thr reason?

Hello asf,

my husband and I received our file number form cairo office in Jan 2000. we are from bombay india and our agency WWICS adviced us to file from cairo as that is faster.

till date we have no news of our interview.

It is very frustating. Hope it gives you reassuarance that there are many people who understand your anxiety.

Dear Sir
I need to ask you query
1- when you made the interview in Cairo did you recieve the medical paper at once ?
2- How you know that you success in interview ? i mean the visa officer told you after interview that you success or what ??

Could you please reply me because me also i made interview in cairo but the visa officer told me after interview that they will contact me in the new year so i want to know this is normal or not

To hodsab,
Well, yes the officer did tell us that we passed the interview
and he even confirmed we exceeded the compulsory 70 points .He also counseled us on the process and definitely informed us that our medical papers will be sent to us in a matter of weeks
But then all what we recieved was a letter which does not say if we passed or failed but that informs us that it will be a further 6 months before we could recieve any corrospondences
that is why we are a little bit confused.

The delays that you are referring to are a result of the lengthy backlogs which have recently developed at the Cairo office. The letter that you have received is typical for applicant at that visa office at present.
