"How much time it takes"

   Dear Campbell Cohen
I had applied for CANADA immigration on 10-08-2000. Since last one year i had received two letters regarding
(1) Application number and (Dt - 31/08/2000)
(2) letter about interview. (Dt - 04/03/2000)
In second letter they had mentioned about the waiting period of interview, it was around 6months to 36months. I had applied for independent class and one of my close realtive (not mentioned in family class) had sent a sponcer letter. This sponcer also included along with application. Really i have to wait that much time to get interview? What can i do to reduce time?
Is there any chance to avoid Personal interview.
If you want more details, i will give you all.
Please help me?

Thankyou
PRASAD

The delays until your interview will depend largely on the visa office at which your case is being processed. As interview backlogs are based on a first-come basis, there is no way to move your application ahead of others in the queue.

The completion of your spouse's education may benefit the application indirectly, for example by enhancing Personal Suitability.

As a transfer of the application would entail that processing start over from the beginning at the new office, options should be weighed carefully before doing so. There is no means of transferring cases for Centralized Processing.
