"After one year work authorisation - and what?"

   Dear Mr Cohen

Thanks for this forum.

I am a student in Quebec - I intend to work in Quebec under the govt 1-year program. But I am worry - will I be asked to go back to my country of origin after the one year period?

Once again, thanks for your attention.

kelly

Not necessarily. You can seek permanent resident status in Canada (with a Quebec destination) once you have completed the minimum experience requirements. It is possible for the application to conclude prior to the expiration of your employment authorization.

Also, although you may not seek extension of the employment authorization that you refer to, it is possible to seek a new authroization afterwards.
