"to bring family along "

   Dear Sir/Madam,
I shall be landing in Canada as PR sometimes in July,2001.Medical examination of myself & my family was done on
1st september,2000.threfore, validity of our landing papers shall be only upto 1st september,2001.We are yet to recive our Landing papers but they are expected sometimes in may/june2001.
Initially, i was thinking of going alone to canada ,settle myself
(by finding some job) & than call my family.(wife & 2 daughters
aged 9 years & 4 years)
But now,as per the latest situation i shall be having only, 1-11/2 month of time left before expiry of visa of my family.
in the changed circumstances, i am planning to take whole of my family with me.
As i will have to search a job for initial 3-4 months & i shall be carrying only required settlement fund of CAD 16000, i am quite worried .
regarding this i have got following questions with you.
1.will there be a majour increase in living expense due to my wife & children acompnying me.
2.Will CCTB & other similar benefits shall be aplicable for my childrens from the date of landing.
thanks
ranjan

   1. As a general rule, cost of living is greater for a larger family as a result of the need of a larger apartment, more food, etc.

2. Provincial policies will apply. Your daughters will otherwise be Canadian permanent residents and subject to the priveleges of such.
