First I would like to say that your site has been most imformative and the great many topics have broadened my knowledge of immigrating to Canada. I have two questions which I hope are very easy to answer. I am a Canadian citizen who will be sponsoring my fiance and her child for immigration into Canada. The questions concern her child and she has asked me to try and find an answer. The questions are, What right does the father have towards the child if he remains where he is and she is married to me here? and If after we are married and I want to adopt her child will we need the consent of the father? Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
