"Moving to Canada after receipt of Landing Documents"
I have the following questions about moving to Canada with my Landing Documents:

1. Can I drive into Canada and complete the formalities of landing at the land border (say for example at Niagara falls)?
2. Will I have to pay any Customs Duty for my belongings (computer, TV, music system, clothes etc) and my car (which I have been using for more than 2 years in the United States)?

Any information and/or experience is appreciated.

Thanks
Dasa

1. Yes, you may conclude the landing process at the time of your arrival at a port of entry by car.

2. Arriving permanent residents are allowed to import their belongings without taxes or duties. Those belongings which are not in your possession may be itemized, and imported without taxes or duties within one year of landing.
