"Marriage to a Canadian Girl..."
Hello my Canadian fiance and i are getting married on the 18th Aug 2001 and were submitting the Spouse sponsorship paperwork from within Canada, (Form IMM 5001) & (form IMM 5285).
Am i right in thinking that she dosn't need to meet the financial criteria because i have no dependents ?
Do we both need a medical ?
Is there anyway i can work within Canada while waiting for the marriage date and when should we submit the paperwork before or after the wedding ?

Any info would be great..

Karl...

No, the sponsor of a fiance(e) is required to demonstrate sufficient income. Exemption from would generally apply in the case of a spousal sponsorship only.

The Canadian sponsor is not required to undergo medical examinations. You would require an employment authorization to be eligible to work in Canada prior to the conclusion of your case.
