"Employment training"
After spending four years at college, I graduated as a computer graphic designer. However that was almost eight years ago and since then I have had over six years of employment training in computer systems administration and almost two years of web development (HTML, DHTML, JavaScript and Flash).
I have completed three online assessment forms and two out of the three have come back with the answer "Not enough points". I presume that this is because my qualifications are based on graphic design which is allocated low points under the NOC.

Although my employment training does not give any qualifications, would it be considered in my application?

Also, the worklogic web site, which is linked to the Canadian High commission, London, UK - explains that the job titles in the occupations list are just category headings and that there is a larger selection of job titles under each category. Is this true?

I have found the job title Computer Graphics Specialist under the category 2162 Computer System Analyst - this might match my current occupation.

1. "RE: Employment training"
You have likely received negative responses due to a combination of factors:

1. The occupation in which you have experience AND meet the NOC requirements appears to carry points that are too low to allow for an applicant to exceed 70 units of assessment;

2. Your education is not consistent with the stated NOC education requirements for the occupation in which you have experience AND which would allow you to obtain sufficient points.

From the information that you have provided, your experience nor your education appear consistent with the requirements of the NOC definition of Computer Graphics Specialist (2162).

All of this does not necessarily mean that you are completely ineligible to apply or to qualify. In the possession of arranged employment, or if you are able to satisfy an immigration official that the point total that you are eligible for does not accurately reflect the likelihood of your succesful establishment in Canada, then you may still qualify.
