"Settlement Fund"
Hello,

I am a software pro. from India & i am applying for independent immigration criteria ( Skilled ). My question is - do I need to show a liquid asset of $10,000 + even if I get a job offer from a Canadian employer ?
I 'd like to add here that I am married & my sister-in-law is a Canadian citizen . Any other suggestion regarding the immigration is welcome.

If you have a job offer which you document appropriately, there is a good chance that the immigration official would consider lowering the requirement for settlement funds. Evidence of prospective support from Canadian family members can have the same effect.

It is up to the discretion of the officer to make that determination, however.
