anu 07-Sep-00, 03:00 PM (GMT) "Settlement Fund" Hello, I am a software pro. from India & i am applying for independent immigration criteria ( Skilled ). My question is - do I need to show a liquid asset of $10,000 + even if I get a job offer from a Canadian employer ? I 'd like to add here that I am married & my sister-in-law is a Canadian citizen . "RE: Settlement Fund" If you have a job offer which you document appropriately, there is a good chance that the immigration official would consider lowering the requirement for settlement funds. Evidence of prospective support from Canadian family members can have the same effect.
