"Applying PR Inland"
Dear Sir,

I am a Canadian citizen. My wife and I met three years ago while she was here as a temp work visa and we dated one another ever since. Last June 2000, I went aboard to visit her and our reunion produced an unexpected member to our relationship.

In Sep. 2000, she returned here as a visitor (no visitor visa required from her country resident) and in Oct.2000, we subsequently got married at a local church, and forwarded our married certificate to the Canadian authority as required.

Now Jan 2001, I am in the process of sponsor her as a family class. Given my requirements (income, clearance, etc...) are OK, here are my questions & concerns:

1. She once applied student visa and got declined due to insubfficient requirements. Would it damage her profile now?

2. Her pregnancy would complicate the processing time? (I am sponsor her as the principal without any depend at this point).

3. Could she remain here especially during her childbirth despite of her visitor status will expire soon (3-6 months presumably)?

4. What is the status of our child? (what's citizen now?)

Kindly Thanks in Advance!

1. No, it would not.

2. The medcial examintion process may be delayed until after the delivery of the child.

3. She may seek extension of her visitor status to allow for such. If you are married, and an inland application is pending, then it is likely that such an extension would be approved.

4. If the child is born in Canada, citizenship may be conferred.
