"Assesment Result"

   Hello!

I am a pakistani citizen working in USA as software engineer from Last 4 years. I applied for Canadian Immigration on January 2002. I have recieved a letter from RPC Buffalo on June 1 2003 which stated that "We are pleased to inform you that we have completed your intial assesment and expect to process you application in RPC Buffalo without a interview."

Also they asked me to resubmit IELTS AND Police certificate from USA

I had submited IELTS (6.0 band - test taken in 1996) when i filed my application in January 2002. I also submitted Police certificate from USA in january 2002 with the application.

Why they asked for this information again ? What does this mean. Does my IELTS score will effect the point now?

Thanks

zartash

The immigration officials likely expect that your previous IELTS score does not reflect your present English language abilities, and are giving your the opprtunity to score higher with a new test result. An IELTS score of 6 on each band would result in a score of only 8 points on the language factor (English).

Your previous police clearance is no longer considered valid.

Could you please let us know what should be the IELTS
score, on each band, in order to score 4 points per
ability in the language factor?

Thnk you for your cooperation.

You would require a 7.0 on each corresponding band.
