"Processing Question"

I have one (hopefully quick) question. My Fiance recieved her quebec acceptance certificate in July 2002 and applied for her PR (Skilled worked) from the Canadian emabassy in Lima Peru in Aug 2002.

My question is what are the current average processing times (i.e. approximately how much long should we expect to wait) and is there any thing we can do to speed things up?

Such as Paying ROLF or submitting the Medicals now instead of waiting for them to ask for them as you mentioned in your response to the "Medical exams" question from Tjeffrey.

I hope you'll be able to provide me with a response your website has been a real help to my fiance and myself through the long process of trying to get a PR for her.

Thanks again,
Alex

The application process will most likely require approximately 16-18 months if an interview can be avoided. If an interview is required, which can happen in even the best of cases, the process will likely require approximately 24 months. These estimates are based on current processing at the Peru office. The clearest possible presentation of your application, meeting any additional requirements promptly, and being proactive in the provision of fees and materials are the best means of expediting your application for immigration to Canada.
