"processing an application"
Hello Sir,

One of my sister-in-laws applied as a family class member to Buffalo office, though she lives in Russia. Her sponsor is her finace, Canadian citizen.
Her application was accepted and she got her medical papers. It turned that she needs an interview. In papers it was said that she should not to complete her medical examination till she gets a note from Buffalo about exact date of an interview.
She got her medical papers and confirmation about initial assesment of her application at June, 2000. Since June she has not heard anything from immigraiton.
Is it a usual situtaion? Coud delay be explained by her incompletion of medical examination?

Thank You in advance and Happy New Year!

David

1. "RE: processing an application"
The Buffalo IRPC issues medical examination forms in advance of the scheduling of a selection interview at a satellite office. Such an interview is scheduled regardless of the completion of medical examinations, and may take 5-7 months from the time of notification.
