"Moving To Canada"
Hi,
I'm a parmanent residence in U.S and I'm planning to migrate to Canada on Job skills bases. I have a BA degree Mathematics and French from a college in NJ and I have more than five years experince as a computer programmer. My only concern is my fiance, he has a bachelor degree in economics from Westcheter university and presently hold different certifications in Netwrking Engineering with 4 years experiences as an IT sale account manager. However his immigration statues in the U.S is our major concern, currenlty he has a political asylum case in Febuary of 2001 and we are not sure if he would be granted asylum because he is from Nigeria. My question to you is, WOULD HIS ASYLUM CASE IN THE U.S IF DENIED, HAVE A NEGATIVE IMPACT ON HIS APPLICATION IN CANADA. Also would be wise for me to file seperately or get married and then file jointly as a family.

Thanks

1. "RE: Moving To Canada"
The refusal of an Asylum case in the USA, in itself, would not necessarily have any impact on a Canadian permanent resident application.
