"PR Common Law Background Check (Province Quebec)"

First I would like to say thank you for this informational website.

I am researching immigration to the province of Quebec in terms of common Law relationship with my girlfriend. My question is in regards to background check. When I was 14 years old I was put on minor probation for 6 months because of a minor drug possession. I was young and stupid and have learned from my mistakes 10 fold. I am now 24 years old and hold a government job. What I would like to know is if this will affect my acceptance and if I should declare what happened. I have had no other criminal accusations and have never been convicted of any crime nor have I ever been in a court situation. I fully understand how stupid it was and I now believe it to be a learning experience. I have no relations to drugs what so ever and have not since I was 14 years old. I consider myself to be extremely responsible and a law-abiding citizen in every way. I just want to go about the process correctly and justly so that I have the best opportunity of entering Canada for residence.

Thank you for your honest answer to this strange and extremely embarrassing question.

From the information that you have provided, it does not appear that the incident that you refer to will have any bearing on a present application for permanent resident status in Canada.
