"Employment outside Canada for Citizenship"

Kindly let me know if I was offered an employment at a Canadain Company overseas for a year or two, will that period spent working outside Canada be counted for Citizenship requirements (and not for the residency requirements). I am a landed immigrant.

kind Regards.

Such an absence as part of the requirements of a Canadian employer would often be counted towards residency days for the purpose of a Citizenship application. This is a discretionary issue, however, which can only be determined by an official presiding over the citizenship application.
