"Family members?"

   Hi there,

I am attempting to sponsor a person in the Family Class. The forms don't make it perfectly clear who counts as my sponsored person's family -- the people who would also need to get police clearances and medicals. Would that include parents, siblings, and children, or just children? If it includes parents, one of person I'm sponsoring's parents has been a missing "dead beat" for more than 15 years -- will we have to find him somehow?

Thanks.

Dependent children and the spouse or common law partner of the relative being sponsored would generally be included in such a Family Class application.
