" We submitted our application under the entrepreneur category in April 2000, and went for medical examinations in early September 2000. We still have not received visas, although I have read other candidates report a wait of less than 8 weeks. Is our wait unusually long for a London application? " DEAR LESLIE I THOUGHT I'D REPLY TO YOUR QUESTION, MY FAMILY AND I APPLIED TO IMMIGRATE TO CANADA AT THE END OF FEBRUARY 2000, WE HAD OUR MEDICALS IN AUGUST AND IN SEPTEMBER WE RECEIVED OUR VISAS. WE ARE NOW SELLING OUR HOUSE SO THAT WE CAN GO OUT THERE. WE HAD A YEAR TO LAND FROM OUR MEDICALS ,SO WE HAVE TO ARRIVE THERE ON OR BEFORE AUGUST 16TH 2001. Did your case also took up to 3 years to get to the medical examination stage? Did you also applied under the Skill category? did you have to go thru any interview? Were you required by the immi officer to provide a certificate of driving record and traffic violation, in addition to the police certificate?
