DEAR SIR,

i sent my question twice but did not get the answer.

I wana kno what is the processing time for spouse after medical for PAKISTAN.
my husband is a landed immigrant and applied for me in APRIL2002 and my medical will expire in almost 2 months i.e 21stJUNE 2003 is the expiry date of my medical .

Family Class (Sponsorship) applications are priority cases and are processed at a faster rate than regular (Economic) applications. However, as no applicant is allowed into Canada without the background check results first being received, this can cause delays. On average it takes 8-12 months for the background checks to be completed. This processing time can be shorter or longer depending on the number of factors not the least of which is the number of countries the applicant has resided in and the political situation in each country and region.
