   Hello and thanks for the help!

Does non-renewal of an American Green Card in any way affect being granted Permanent Residency in Canada. My fiancee didn't renew her green card after divorcing her American husband, came back to Thailand, and now would like to marry me in Canada. We've got the visa to go to Canada and will marry there.

   Such non-renewal of the US GC would have no bearing on a subsequent Canadian permanent resident application.
