"Declaring a relative"
 
   A pleasant day to all members of this wonderful community. I am so happy to be one of your members.

I am applying as an Independent Immigrant to Canada under the new selection criteria and I would like to clarify if my understanding is correct on the matter below:

I have an uncle who is a permanent resident of Canada. If I will declare him as a relative residing as a permanent resident of Canada, will he be assess as regards his capability to support us financially? My understanding is not.

Please confirm if my understanding is correct.

   Those defined under the provisions of "assisted relative" are not required to provide any evidence of financial support, only evidence of relation.

   Hi all,
Well! right now I am in canada staying with my uncle (My father's brother). What document should I submit along with application to stablish my relation with him. Let me make one more thing clear here. My father as well as my uncle don't have their birth certificate.
Well! they have passport, so will it do?
