"Upfront Medicals for old Spouse Sponsorship"

   Dear Mr. Cohen

Is my wife eligible to undergo upfront medical examination if my out of Canada sponsorship application was approved under old law?

Due to pregnancy my wife didn't apply for PR so far (because of required X-Ray). I am a Canadian citizen and in last July CPC Mississauga approved my sponsorship application under the old immigration law. As you know since February 17/03, CPC Mississauga is accepting joint sponsorship & PR applications from spouses of Canadian citizens/PR with upfront medicals. Just to save time, I am wondering wheather my wife can do her required medicals upfront too (i.e. after the baby is born) and send the second copy of form IMM 1017 EFC along with the PR application to the visa post out side Canada.

Thanks in advance. Tom
