"Australian Citizen"

I am an Australian citizen and I have been in a conjugal relationship with a Canadian citizen for over a year. We would like to start a sponsorship procedure so that I can join him.

I met him whilst on a working holiday visa in Canada. Will the fact that I have worked temporarily in Canada previously have any consequence on the outcome of my visa application?

I would also like to know what is the processing time under the family class for an Australian citizen

Your answers are much appreciated.

In the case of a family class application, prior employment in Canada would not have any impact on the assessment of the case.

Processing of a spousal sponsorship should be concluded by the Sydney visa office within 10-12 months.
