"Marriage"
Dear David,

My boyfriend has already got his landing paper. We all planning to pursue further study in Canada. If we marry before his landing, how many time will be delayed. And if we are going to to marry after his landing, will he be required to have a job first?

thank you very much for your answer

1. "RE: Marriage"
If you marry prior to his landing, his landing documents must be returned to the visa office to be updated. Amendment may be requested at the same time. The delay would likely be at least 4-5 months.

If he seeks to sponsor you after landing, and after you are married, then it is possible that the financial requirements may be waived.
