I am an american citizen currently staying in Calgary Canada with my husband whom is an born Canadian citizen...and i am applying for perment residence for me and my 8 year old son. What kind of custody am I supossed to have in order for my son to immigrate to Canada.
I never married the father so there was never a custody set up or visitation set up for him...so what paperwork do i need?? am i REQUIRED to have sole legal and physical custody of my child in order for him to immigrate???
I have all my paperwork ready to be submitted except on this one area..the application only asks for custody papers if you were married to your childs father...i never was.
