"PR processing with work permit"

   Hi,

I am currently working in Canada under a work permit and had applied for PR status in Jan 2002 at Buffalo. I heard that its preferable, under the new scheme, to be working in Canada before applying for PR. If this is the case, then is the Buffalo office expediting these applications in any way?

I would like to buy a house in the future but not as a temporary worker but as PR.

Thanks and regards,

Vince

There are points awarded in many cases in the case that an applicant possesses an employment authorization or work experience in Canada. There is no evidence, however, that any visa office is expediting the conclusion of those cases in which this is the case.
