I was interviewed in May2002, in Detroit USA, and the visa officer informed that she had not received the medicals (held in Feb,2002 Toronto) and would send my papers as soon as she did. It has been more than 8 months and I havent received any response from them. My status inquiries have also gone unanswered. My medicals expire in feb 2003. Please advise on how long does it take for them to call the passports and issue the visa. I am in canada on visit visa, since the last 15 months waiting for the PR visa. Also, do they call the passports or would I have to go personally to Detroit?

Passports can be sent to the visa office by correspodance if the applicant wishes.
