nisha 28-Nov-00, 07:27 PM (GMT) "Background Clearance" Dear Mr. Cohen, Is Background Clearance a new phenomenon? Because we were told to expect our Landing Papers 3 to 4 weeks after completion of Medicals, by almost everyone. We have now been waiting for Background Clearance for about 6 months since our Medicals. No one had forewarned us about this and has taken everyone by surprise. Unfortunately, in some cases, the delays associated with such are longer than others.
