"visitors visa"
One year ago my mother-in-law illigally entered Canada with US visa, because she thought that the US visa was valid for Canada. She was not contacted by immigration services and after one month she left Canada for Russia. She just came to visit her daughters in the US and one in Canada.
She fled from Montreal aeroprt.
Would this fact influence on getting her visitors visa to Canada next summer?
She was never contacted by immigration in aeroport.
I regret about this awfull mistake. She had not any intentions to stay in Canada and doesn't want to immigrate.
Thank You in advance

David

1. "RE: visitors visa"
Evidence of a prior illegal entry into Canada can have a negative effect on a subsequent application for temporary admission.

Without knowing all of the circumstances of her prior entry, it is difficult to know what information is on record concerning such.

Thank You very much for your response.
I don't know if she has any record of being in Canada.
She entered Canada by car in Niagara Falls as a passenger and she has never was asked any documents at the port of entry so she assumed that everything was OK.

She also left Canada for Russia through Montreal aeroport and openly bought a one way ticket and never was approached by immigration.

Although this may not be on record, she should be honest in all disclosures at the time of a present application for temporary admission. As the decision to grant admission as a visitor is almost entirely discretionary, it is difficult to predict the outcome of such an application.
