"What to do?"
 
   Maybe you have heard the news regarding the closure (dunno until when) of the Canadian Embassy (also the Australian Embassy) here in the Philippines due to the terrorism issue. Do you have any insights on what will happen to the pending PR applications here in the Philippines?

   A limited amount of information on the situation has been divulged to us to date. They are not presently processing existing applications or those new ones that arrive. This will remain the case until the Chancery re-opens.

All mail to the visa office is being routed to other visa offices to be opened. Those correspoondences containing passports are being returned and the remainder are being held for eventual processing at Manila.

It is advisable to follow the Manila office's web site for news as it occurs:
