"What is your opinion?"

Having attached a bank statement showing US$15,000 but answered
CND$16,000 for 4 family members in the item #8 of the Form IMM0008
"How much money will you bring with you" according to the old funds
requirement, one's application is still pending now. Since the new
funds requirement has changed to $17,286 for 4 family members, does the applicant have to update the funds to bring before the assessment and how? Thank you.

You would be subject to the settlement fund requirements in place at the time of the finalization of your case. If an immigration official approved your case on the basis of a statement of CAD$16,000, then evidence of that amount should be presented at the time of landing.

Thank you for your reply. Do you think whether the CAD $16000 indicated in the application form based on the old funds requirement will likely result a denial or the applicant had better to update it prior to the assessment?

It would certainly be safer to demonstrate the higher amount at this time. The likelihood of denial otherwise would require a more thorough examination of the details of the case.
