"Permanent Resident Card Application - Help"

I landed in Canada in April this year and was filling the application for permanent resident card. During filling the form i was stuck up.
The question number 15 is regarding your absence from canada during last five years.
My question is that do i need to give all the information for the last five years. Even if i landed in April this year or the information about my absence from Canada has to be given after April. Before landing to Canada i was on student visitor visa since September 1998. Please help.

You should indicate your absences only since becoming a permanent resident.
