"skilled employee from India"
Greetings,
I am sponsoring a Caregiver from India under the Skilled Worker program. I have started this process since November of 1999 and right now I am very frustrated about the whole process. I have submitted all the required documents, so has the caregiver and an application has been submitted to the Canadian Embassy. However, one of the required documents, the validation letter from Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC) must also be submitted. The problem is that the representative from HRDC has confirmend to me that she has submitted the validation letter via electronic mail (5 times already) to India. She has confirmation that the message was opened on Oct 27, 2000. BUT when the Caregiver went on NOV 8, 2000 to inquire about the submission, the embassy told her that they have not yet received the validation letter. My question is now what do we do? How long do we keep waiting for the letter to show up? Can we take legal action to force the embassy to act quicker?
Please advise,
Sonam.

You should try to obtain a written approval of the validation request from the HRDC office, and provide that to the candidate to take to the visa office in person.
