"Skilled worker category immigration"

   Dear Mr. Cohen,

Thank you for a such a great site.

I am presently working as a consulatnt for a GE Corporate , Schenectady NY .

I am B.E in Computer Science from university of Mumbai,India and having 3+ years of IT experience .

Since last 3 years I have been associated with ONLY one company . Though I have worked for many clients (like GE Corporate, GE Card Services ) my employer remained the same throughout. Unless I terminate my employment with my present employer I am not going to get the "Experience Letter".Now , can you please inform me , whether salary slips from my employer are good enough to support my experience . Can my bio-data and Java Certification from Sun Microsystem will be any advantage in getting some points in Work Experience factor.

My mothers cousin sister has been in Canada since last 20 years . Can you please inform me whether she can be considered in "closed relative" category.

As mentioned earlier , I am currently located in US and if I apply it now , how long it will take to get immigration visa? Suppose due to unavoidable circumstances if I have to go my to India what could be possible impact on my application.

Your expert advice on above matter will help me a lot.
Please do reply
Gajanan

The documents that you mention are a start if you are not able to submit a letter of reference, but you should seek additional documentation which will fulfill all aspects of the information which should be present in the letter of reference. Most importantly, salary slips alone would not give any details of the nature of the work that you performed.
