"applying for student authorization"
Sir,
I want to apply for a students authorization from India.I contacted with a college in Montreal and is in receipt of the acceptance letter from them.I am registed with the them, now I am planning to apply for authorization as the session is starting from Jan 2001.

One of our family friend in Montreal is supporting me for all my expences during my training there. So for proof of fiancial support I am including a 'notorised statement'made by him certifying that he is willing and able to provide support during my training period. He also mentioned that I will stay with them during the said period.

I wanted to know is this document enough for proof of financial support.

Sincerly ,
DEBRAJ.

It may be necessary for the individual to provide a bank statement demonstrating the availability of sufficient assets, or that an account be opened in your name in Canada and the necessary funds deposited therein. An immigration official will determine the exact requirements in the review of the case.

Dear sir ,
Thanks for the reply. Generally what is the amount of money needed to be in ones account regarded as sufficient for one year in Montreal excluding course fees.

Any other information regarding this matter will always be very useful for me.

Regards,
DEBRAJ.

The amount will vary depending on the applicable tuition costs and the city in which the applicant is resident. As we do not represent student authorization applications, I am not familiar with the specific figures.
