"Advice please."

My application for permanent residency (Entrepreneur)is being processed but I would like to be able to take over and run the business in question as soon as possible. Can I get any kind of "temporary work permit" or any exemption whilst waiting for the P.R. application? Thankyou.

Yes, employment authorizations do exist which may allow you to enter Canada as a temporary resident prior to the conclusion of your immigration application. If your immigration application is in the Business Class, then there are validation exemptions available specifically for the purpose that you state.
