Dear Mr.Cohen,Thanks for maintaing such a great forum with vaulable information.
Brief History:
I have sponsored my Parents and a brother who is dependent on them.
There immigration file is in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Unfortunately, my mother has passed away and before I could even inform Canadian embassay in Islamabad of this sad news, they have already mailed me refusal letter on the application because of her severe medical conditions.
My mother was the principal applicant. Now my father and younger brother who is 15 years old and a full time student are left behind in Pakistan.
Since the situation has changed upside down,I have faxed a letter to Canadian embassay in Islamabad to consider my father as principal applicant and my brother as his dependent on the very same immigration application. In the letter, I did acknowledg to have received the refusal letter from their office.
NOTE:
The appeal was supposed to be made within 30 days but I couldn't get back from home where I were for funeral and other necessary things. and we never did receive the refusal letter at our back-home address.
otherwise I would have responded from there.
QUESTIONS:
What are the chances that Canadian Embassay will consider my request and continue the processing of the refused application?
What else should I do besides the fax I sent?
I haven't sent them mother's death certificate yet. I will do that as soon as I receive it.
Thanks in Advance!
JKS.
