"Old or new ?"

   Dear Sir,
First of all I would like to thank you for your important site.
I applied to Canada and I got my file number in 18 September 2000 (I was single), and I will get married in 20 May 2002 so I will attach my wife’s papers with my application, my question is that if I attached her papers to my application before or after 28 June 2002 what would be the settlement funds ($12,000 CAD or $27.000 CAD) that should I have.
Look forward to hearing from you...
Regards
Ihsan

Canada is a cool place 2 live in

A skilled worker who applied on or before December 31, 2001, and who has not received a selection decision by June 28, 2002, will continue to be selected under the old criteria (and old minimum settlement funds) until March 31, 2003. Such applicants who have not received a selection decision prior to March 31, 2003 will be subject to the new selection criteria (and the new minimum settlement funds). Therefore it does not matter when you add your wife to your application.
